Our permits are currently limited to 100 runners maximum. DSE Members receive pre-registration links by email. $5 race fee for standard members. Gold, Child, and Teen memberships include unlimited races. A small number of non-member pre-registrations for select races are available on Active.com (search for DSE). Non-member race fee is $10. Walk-up race day registration is available space permitting. We highly recommend pre-registration to confirm your space.
Sunday, July 11, 9am: Windmill 10K Course Map
Course Description: Start at the Dutch Windmill in Golden Gate Park (near Kennedy Drive and the Great Highway). Run eastbound up Kennedy Drive to intersection prior to McLaren Lodge (Kezar Drive/Second Barricade). Turn around and return the same way back to finish.
Sunday, July 18, 9am: Twin Peaks 4M Course Map
Course Description: Start at reservoir at Galewood Circle and Clarendon Avenue. Complete inside reservoir loop; exit left downhill onto Clarendon. Turn left onto Laguna Honda and continue uphill to Woodside Ave. past the gas station. Continue on Twin Peaks Boulevard until it ends at Clarendon Avenue. Turn left on Clarendon and return to the start.
Sunday, July 25, 9am: Mountain Lake Park 5K Course Map
Course Description: Run East on Mountain Trail, turn left running North beside Mountain Lake. Continue on under tunnel, bear right until 14th avenue, turn around at steel posts. Run North on Park trail, keep straight uphill, turn around at Golf General Store. Return on Park trail, turn left to pass under tunnel, follow path beside lake. Turn left to head West, run uphill, turning around before Arguello, return on path to start.
Sunday, August 1, 9am: Kennedy Drive 8K Course Map
Course description: Start on Middle Drive, on the south side of the Polo Field in Golden Gate Park. Run (uphill) eastbound on Middle Drive, turn onto Overlook Drive (path), left at Transverse and right onto Kennedy Drive. Run eastbound on Kennedy Drive to barricade at Kezar Drive. Turn around at barricade and return same way to finish.
Sunday, August 8, 8am half marathon, 9am single loop: Lake Merced 4.5 Miles/Half Marathon Course Map
Course description: Start/Finish at the north end Lake Merced Parking Lot (foot of Sunset Blvd). For 4.5 miles, run a single loop. For half marathon, run three clockwise loops around the lake staying entirely on jogging/pedestrian path, and be sure to carry water and gels. The 1st loop is cut shorter by crossing the drawbridge east to west at the southern end of the lake.
Course Description: Start/Finish in the grass field at the picnic area near the main entrance of San Bruno Mountain at 555 Guadalupe Canyon Parkway. We encourage carpooling as there is a $6 parking fee. Run down the field and exit through the area between the water fountain and the first tree to its left. Once off the field, take an immediate right on the path and then another right onto the Day Camp Service Road. Follow the path up until the turnaround. On the way back down, take a right and run through the Edward Bacciocco, Jr. picnic area heading west toward the exit to Old Guadalupe Trail. Head Southwest on Old Guadalupe Trail (asphalt section) and then take a right onto Saddle Trail. Follow Saddle Trail to the finish back at the starting picnic area.
