On May 7, 2006, DSE will be marking a significant milestone- its 40th anniversary! It is only fitting to run the Walt Stack 5K race course, with a start and finish at the Walt Stack Memorial Bench along the Marina Green. We will have refreshments, age division awards, a special souvenir T-shirt for sale and possibly some raffle prizes.

It is our hope to have as many current and former DSE members as possible in attendance at this event. Even if you don't wish to run, walk or self-time, please come out to greet old friends and meet some new ones

Start/Finish: Walt Stack Memorial Bench, Marina Green Dr. parking lot (1 block north of Marina Green Blvd., enter via Scott or Fillmore St.)

Course Description: Run westbound on Marina Green Dr., left on Avila St., right onto Marina Blvd... Left thru Yacht Harbor parking lot, left onto Crissy Field/Ft. Pt. Promenade. Turnaround at fourth sandy beach exit access beyond west end of Marsh. Return same way to Marina Blvd., run eastbound on Marina Blvd., left at par course (Fillmore St.), and left on Marina Green Drive to finish COURSE MAP

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are needed for the following assignments:
4 Course Monitors (Marina Green, Little Marina Green, Yacht Harbour parking lot Turnaround)
3 Registration
1 Clothing sales and pick-up
2 T-shirt distribution
2 Refreshments
4 Finish line timing, stringing, results
