MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP OF THE SAN FRANCISOCO DOLPHIN SOUTH END RUNNERS CLUB (DSE” Or the Club”)

A meeting of the general membership of the San Francisco Dolphin South End Runners Club was held at the above date, time and place, pursuant to notice duly given in the DSE News.

27 members and the following club officers President Kevin Lee, Sr. VP Janet Nissenson, 2nd VP George Sacco and Treasurer Steve Nissenson were in attendance.

Kevin Lee called the meeting to order at 10:30am. Sam Roake recorded the minutes of the meeting. The general membership reviewed and unanimously approved minutes of the December 3, 2006 General Meeting.

Treasurer Report
Copies of the January 1, 2007 thru March 10, 2007 Club Income Statement were distributed. Treasurer Elect Wendy Newman reported: Gross income of $10,964 (3 mo) - Expenses $12,512 (3 mo) = Net Income $(-1.548) Total DSE funds in acct’s and CD’s is $36,467.

Club Status
Kevin Lee & George Sacco presented 2007 Club Status: Club volunteership is up with: 5 club officers, 8 coordinators and 11 excutive committee members - 70 race day volunteers this year 2007 Race attendance; 1331, 166 average for 8 races.

Janet Nissenson presented a Relay team status report: Without sufficient membership interest, fielding the second team for the Calistoga to Santa Cruz Relay fell through. DSE is very opportunist the 2007 Men’s Open team, can finish 1st overall on May 5 – 6. Go Team!

New Business
Jim Kauffold, Bill Woolf & George Baptista finalized the election of 2007 DSE Club Officers, with the announcement of 2007 Club Officers: President Calvin Chan, Sr. VP Adrian Jue, 2nd VP George Sacco, Secretary Sam Roake and Treasurer Wendy Newman. 56 votes were cast, all for the listed single candidate for each office, so be it.

Other Items from the Floor
RRCA State Representative James O’Donnell reported on the new proposal for a future RRCA Convention bid for 2009 – 2010. This would be a 4 club venture. Discussion followed exploring new ways to increase revenue and some cost cutting measures. Budget would be $6000-$10,000 to be split among sponsoring clubs, approx 200-300 people to attend.

Janet Nissenson is off to Chicago the weekend of March 23-24 to the RRCA Convention to receive the recognition award for the 2006 Rod Steel Volunteer of the Year award. Congratulations Janet from all DSErs.

With no further business, Kevin adjourned the meeting at 11:02 am.
