Place: USSSF Monument, San Francisco, CA
A meeting of the general membership of the San Francisco Dolphin South End Runners Club was held at the above date, time and place, pursuant to notice duly given in the DSE News.
16 Members and the following club officers Sr. VP Adrian Jue, 2nd VP George Sacco, Secretary Sam Roake and Treasurer Wendy Newman were in attendance.
Adrian Jue called the meeting to order at 10:30 am. Sam Roake recorded the minutes of the meeting.
The general membership reviewed and unanimously approved minutes of the March 11, 2007 General Meeting.
Officer’s Reports
Kevin Lee presented the Membership Report – 290 Memberships and 441 individual memberships. 31% family & 69% individual membership; 185 mailed newsletters, 105 enews. 62% male, 38% female.
Copies of 1/1 – 7/7/07 of DSE Income/Expense Report were distributed. Treasurer Wendy Newman reported a net income of $3195.
New Business
Approval of a $1000 check signing proposal was dismissed upon club By-law explanation read by Wendy Newman.
A Board of Directors’ amendment was introduced and discussed.
Other Items from the Floor
Discussion centered around declaration of club paid positions: News Editor, Webmaster and Course Designer/Marker. Discussion included comments on whether paid members are contractors or part time employees and what liability, health insurance and income tax reporting applies if paid members are determined to be part time employees. Per one comment, no health insurance is required if less than 10 employees.
