New Business
Before openly discussing the Term Limits agenda topic, Kevin presented his thoughts on club nominations and the current Club Officer eligibility/term limits. From open discussion, the general consensus was that club members and incumbents should be granted the opportunity of running for re-election indefinitely or step down and run for renomination. The membership will respect and support club officers’ wishes toward club nominations. The membership does not wish to pressure any or all incumbent club officers to feel they must continue to serve as club officers indefinitely. If they decide to step down, they should state they decision way in advance.
Ken Reed went on public record, stating he plans on stepping down as Double Dipsea Race Director.
Other Items From The Floor: After open discussion comparing revenue from membership dues vs. club expenses in direct relations to membership expense, effective immediately snail mail, hard copy membership dues will increase $5, $20 to $25 individual; $25 to $30 family membership; if a membership holder opts for the electronic newsletter, they will receive a $5 discount.
With no further club topics to discuss, Kevin adjourned the meeting at 11:15 a.m.
