DSE has managed this event on a purely volunteer basis for 44 years!
DSE is once again partnering with Brazen Racing to help manage the growing popularity of the race and the increasing demands of permitting agencies, all for the purpose of ensuring this race continues to be available for many years to come.
New as of 2015 – To improve the safety of all participants, headphones and trekking poles will not be allowed on the course. Please visit the Brazen Racing Double Dipsea Site for more details.
Course Description
It begins at Stinson Beach, runs the length of the Dipsea Trail to Mill Valley then back to Stinson Beach. Epic views, adventures — and lots of stairs — await you!

Race starts/finishes at Little Marina Green, Yacht Road parking lot. Run west on Golden Gate Promenade. Just beyond the Warming Hut, turn left and go up the stairs towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Continue on trail under the bridge; run the downhill trail inside the guard rail on Lincoln Blvd. Complete a clockwise Baker Beach trail/sand loop; run past the water treatment plant, then east onto sandy beach to the Sand Ladder, which is 400 yards of a vertical climb. At the top, turn left and return to the start/finish.

Complete clockwise loop, traverse the upper level of El Camino del Mar parking lot then downhill to Seal Rock/Clement. Turn right onto lower Land’s End Trail and continue running east past Eagles Point. Exit left, downhill on El Camino del Mar. Take lower fork at 30th Avenue staying on El Camino del Mar which merges into Lincoln Blvd. Turn left at Bowley and right into Baker Beach parking lot. Turn right onto Battery Chamberlain Rd., downhill and thru entire lower parking lot. Continue running east thru the battery section of Baker Beach then right uphill on dirt /gravel path to Lincoln. Turnaround at top of Sand Ladder. Reverse direction and run back to finish.

Fees
One Race: $5 members; $7 non-members
Two Races: $8 members; $10 non-members
If you are running both races, you must finish the 2 mile race prior to the 9:30 am start of the 10K – we will not delay the start.
Parking fees inside the park are $6, otherwise there is street parking in the adjacent neighborhoods; please be courteous and mindful of local regulations. Do not park in the church parking lot!
Course Description
- The 2 mile course is out and back on Weiler Ranch Trail and starts at 9:00 am.
- The 10K is a loop including Valley View, Weiler Ranch, and Hazelnut Trails and starts at 9:30 am.
- S/F for both events is at the North Walnut Picnic area.
- Please note: Due to park rules, DOGS are NOT ALLOWED on this run.

Course Description
Double 1.55-mile XC counter-clockwise loop traversing grass, dirt and trails. From grass lawn, run uphill (north) onto upper trail of Kennedy Drive. Continue west on Kennedy Drive then left (southbound) onto Chain of Lakes Drive. Run approximately 50 yards and take left fork trail adjacent to mini pond. Traverse trail/sand/pavement/grass terrain to midway of Polo Field, then left downhill (north) back to Lindley Meadow grass lawn finish.
