January – March 2018
Run through parking lot, exit right along diagonal dirt path and left onto Marina Blvd. Run eastbound on Marina Blvd, and complete Marina Green rectangle (left at Webster Street par course, left onto Marina Green Drive, left on Scott Street and right onto Marina Blvd) Return same way to start. Run west along Crissy Field/GG Promenade; Turn around at orange cone and return same way back to finish.
Flat, fast and scenic out/back courses. Both courses are paved and closed to traffic, following the Bay Trail along the waterfront.
Both the 10M and 5K start at 9:00am. Both courses close at 11:30 am.
10M Course Description & Map
Run southbound on paved Bay Trail, past Oyster Point, Genentech, and Point San Bruno to the turnaround. Return same way to finish. There will be an aid station located at approximately 3.5M and 7M. USATF Certified #CA12024TK.
5K Course Description & Map
Run southbound on paved Bay Trail towards Oyster Point to the turnaround prior to Oyster Point Marina. Return same way to finish. USATF Certified #CA12025TK.
Come out and join the newsletter folding session — a small gathering of DSE members who get together for a bit of fun, food, and folding. All DSE members are encouraged to participate. We begin folding at 6:30 PM and usually wrap up before 8:30 PM. Please remember to bring drinks or snacks to share. Run southbound on beach promenade, left onto Rockaway Beach Blvd, right onto Nick Gust Way. Continue over footbridge. Veer right and begin paved bike path. Stay on path crossing through the Taco Bell parking lot to rejoin path. Turn around at Pedro Point Shopping Center and return same way to finish.

“Out & Back” – Complete 0.3m Great Meadows clockwise loop, exit onto Marina Blvd., continue right through Yacht Harbor parking lot, run entire Crissy Field promenade trail, turnaround at Hopper’s Hands. Return to Finish Line.

Two races in one! Join us for either a fast, downhill 1 mile race or a scenic 5K loop, or both! Start time for the mile is 9:00 am. The 5K will begin immediately after the completion of the 1 mile (at approx. 9:30 am) and will start/finish at JFK & 36th Avenue.
*Kids Run (1/2 mile) begins at 9:45 AM – Same Start/Finish location as adult race.
Registration for both races will be at John F. Kennedy Drive & 36th Avenue near Spreckels Lake.
- Start Time: 9:00 am – please arrive by 8:40 am to allow enough time to register and make your way to the start about a mile away.
- Start Location: Kennedy Drive near Transverse
- Finish Location: Kennedy Drive near Spreckels Lake
- 1M Course Description: Run westbound (downhill) along Kennedy Drive from start to finish
- Start Time: After completion of 1-mile race, around 9:30 am.
- Start/Finish Location: Kennedy Drive/36th Avenue near Spreckels Lake
- 5K Course Description: Run westbound on Kennedy Drive, left onto Chain of Lakes dirt path, left onto ML King Drive pedestrian path, left onto Transverse Drive, left onto Kennedy Drive to downhill finish.
Baker Beach 5K
START/FINISH: Lower Baker Beach Parking Lot
Terrain: Asphalt, concrete/sand, gravel trail/wooden bridge/gravel trail
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Upon exiting lower Baker Beach parking lot, immediately turn left on Battery Chamberlin Rd and run up to and through upper parking lot. Exit through gate at far end and run east into short Battery section before completing .6 mile uphill climb. Run left (inside guard rail) along Lincoln Way. Just beyond Langdon Court (Street), take the left fork gravel trail and run the entire “new trail” section with wooden bridge. Do not exit onto asphalt pedestrian/bike lane leading to GG Bridge. Instead, turn around at end of trail and return the same way to finish.
Additional Parking is available in the upper parking lot off Battery Chamberlin Rd.
Baby Strollers are not permitted for this race.
