September – December 2017
A challenging trail race on the Notch Trail and Sweeney Ridge Trail from Skyline College south to the Nike Missile Control Site and back. Runners will see beautiful views above Pacifica on a clear day.
notes: possibly no bathrooms available, steep stairs on trail
GPS or use a map to get to the intersection of Skyline Blvd (35) and College Drive in San Bruno. Signs on Skyline Blvd will direct you to Skyline College entering on College Drive. Driving west on College Dr turn left at the T intersection just before the track at the entrances to Skyline College.Then take the next left into Parking Lot A. Registration will be in Parking Lot A and the run starts a short distance away up from Parking Lot B.
Baker Beach 5K
START/FINISH: Lower Baker Beach parking lot
Terrain: Asphalt, concrete/sand, gravel trail/wooden bridge/gravel trail
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Upon exiting lower Baker Beach parking lot, immediately turn left on Battery Chamberlin Rd and run up to and through upper parking lot. Exit through gate at far end and run east into short Battery section before completing .6 mile uphill climb. Run left (inside guard rail) along Lincoln Way. Just beyond Langdon Court (Street), take the left fork gravel trail and run the entire “new trail” section with wooden bridge. Do not exit onto asphalt pedestrian/bike lane leading to GG Bridge. Instead, turn around at end of trail and return the same way to finish.
Additional Parking is available in the upper parking lot off Battery Chamberlin Rd.
Baby Strollers are not permitted for this race.
Run southbound on beach promenade, left onto Rockaway Beach Blvd, right onto Nick Gust Way. Continue over footbridge. Veer right and begin paved bike path. Stay on path crossing through the Taco Bell parking lot to rejoin path. Turn around at Pedro Point Shopping Center and return same way to finish.
Kennedy Drive & Transverse in Golden Gate Park
Run westbound on Kennedy Drive past two 4-way “Stop” intersections, then left on Bernice Rogers Way, left on ML King Drive, left uphill on Middle Drive and left onto Overlook (path) to finish.
Run northbound from sidewawlk onto Great Highway pedestrian path and run eastbound. Turnaround prior to Lincoln Way and return to finish.
Two races in one. 1M race starts at 9:00 am, followed by the 5K at approximately 9:30 am.

5K Course Description & Map
Start/Finish: Run westbound on Kennedy Drive, left onto Chain of Lakes dirt path, left onto ML King Drive pedestrian path, left onto Transverse Drive, left onto Kennedy Drive to downhill finish.
1M Couse Description and Map
Start: Kennedy Drive near Spreckels Lake; Finish: Kennedy Drive near Transverse
Run eastbound (uphill) along Kennedy Drive from Spreckels Lake to Transverse Drive.
The start and finish are on the grass lawn adjacent to Julius Kahn Playground.
Exit grass area, complete counter-clockwise Julius Kahn rectangular loop, right onto W. Pacific Ave. trail. Prior to Arguello Blvd complete mini clockwise half-arc loop before turning left onto northbound (downhill) straightaway and exit trail onto asphalt surface. Turnaround at “Stop” sign, reverse direction and return to W. Pacific Ave. Travel downhill (eastbound), complete clockwise Julius Kahn rectangular loop before finish on grass.
Run east up Kennedy Drive to McLaren Lodge. Turnaround at Barricade at Kezar Drive, start back and turn right on East Conservatory Drive. Run up and around East Conservatory Drive then back onto Kennedy Drive and return westbound to finish.
