Course Description

Run east up Kennedy Drive to McLaren Lodge. Turnaround at Barricade at Kezar Drive, start back and turn right on East Conservatory Drive. Run up and around East Conservatory Drive then back onto Kennedy Drive and return westbound to finish.

Kids race will follow the 5K.

Come out and join the newsletter folding session — a small gathering of DSE members who get together for a bit of fun, food, and folding. All DSE members are encouraged to participate. We begin folding at 6:30 PM and usually wrap up before 9:00 PM. Please remember to bring drinks or snacks to share. Fort to Fort 10K @ Fort Mason
Feb 12 @ 9:00 am – 10:30 am

Start/Finish:

NW dirt area adjacent central “Great Meadows” Fort Mason lawn. S/F lines up with building and fire hydrant.

Course Description:

“Out & Back” – Complete .3 mile clockwise Ft. Mason “Great Meadows” loop, exit (westbound) onto Marina Blvd., right thru Yacht Harbour parking lot, onto Golden Gate Promenade Stay along path into Fort Point National Historic Site. Turnaround at end of parking lot and return same way to finish.

Course Description

Traverse Upper/Lower Baker Beach parking lots then run east into short Battery section before completing .6 mile uphill climb. Run left (inside guard rail) along Lincoln Way. Just beyond Langdon Court (Street), take the left fork gravel trail and run the entire “new trail” section with wooden bridge. Do not exit onto asphalt pedestrian/bike lane leading to GG Bridge. Instead, turn around at end of trail and return the same way to finish. Terrain: Asphalt, concrete/sand, gravel trail/wooden bridge/gravel trail.

Two races in one! Join us for either a fast, downhill 1 mile race or a scenic 5K loop, or both! Start time for the mile is 9:00 am. The 5K will begin immediately after the completion of the 1 mile and will start/finish at JFK & 36th Avenue.

*Kids Run (1/2 mile) begins at 9:45 AM – Same Start/Finish location as adult race.

Registration for both races will be at John F. Kennedy Drive & 36th Avenue near Spreckles Lake.

1-Mile Race

  • Start Time: 9:00 am  – please arrive by 8:40 am to allow enough time to register and make your way to the start about a mile away.
  • Start Location: Kennedy Drive near Transverse
  • Finish Location: Kennedy Drive near Spreckles Lake
  • 1M Course Description: Run westbound (downhill) along Kennedy Drive from start to finish

  • Start/Finish Location: Kennedy Drive/36th Avenue near Spreckles Lake
  • 5K Course Description: Run westbound on Kennedy Drive, left onto Chain of Lakes dirt path, left onto ML King Drive pedestrian path, left onto Transverse Drive, left onto Kennedy Drive to downhill finish.

Course Description

Oyster Point 10K @ Oyster Point Marina
Mar 19 @ 9:00 am – 10:30 am

 

Start/Finish:

North of main restroom on Bay Trail bike/pedestrian path, south of main Oyster Point Marina parking lot.

Course Description:

Run northbound on path, make a right turn onto the Bay Trail; stay on the center path that travels through Oyster Cove Marina. Run past hotel complex, over wooden pedestrian bridge. Turnaround along the designated straightway location and return same way to finish. For a very detailed photo tour of the course, click on the link below.
